Limits and Rake

While some sites are comfortable offering just a sampling of limits and games, PokerStars has a veritable smorgasbord. The industry standard rake applies at the higher limit games, with a cap of $3.00 (which also applies to no limit games), and the lower limit games cap at $1.00. This could get pricy for very low limit games, but over all is a good deal.

Player Traffic

You will find a complete range of players at PokerStars, many of whom are on the hunt for WSOP qualifiers (PokerStars qualifiers made up some 20% of the 2006 WSOP field). There is not a lot of down time waiting for players during peak hours, with an average of 25,000 players online. PokerStars holds the record for hitting 100,000 real money players online at one time.

Playability

Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo are all offered in an easy-on-the-eyes layout. With logical navigation and a smart cashier layout, PokerStars offers great playability conducive to hours of poker play.

Other Features

Quality note taking is offered, helping you keep track of your opponent's playing habits, as is stat reporting- helping you keep track of your own habits. In addition to qualifiers for major events (WSOP, WPT, EPT) PokerStars often run a ton of their own promotions, such as a Weekly Guaranteed Tournament with $1 million in the kitty.

The PokerStars Frequent Player Points program is great, and they offer a nice online gift shop wherein to spend your points.
